About Our Team
Roots & Wings are in an enviable position of having a staff of highly trained and experienced team members. The team have been carefully chosen to reflect the quality standards set down by Muintir Childcare. All team members regularly participate in CPD to up skill and be informed about the changing sector.

Our team are highly experienced in all domains of early education including our current inspection procedures with Tusla, The Department of Education and Skills (DES) and Pobal. In our most recent DES inspection we attained an exemplary in every area of our educational approach.

As a company we value the skills, expertise and dedication that our team bring to the table. We know that our team are the core of what drives our quality care and we recognise the importance of supporting each individual working as part of our team. We focus on support, mentorship and progression as part of our practice and we aim to ensure that every team member feels at home and part of the family.

Nickola Cullen
Qualifications: BA Applied Early Childhood & BA Leadership and Management
A little bit about me:
Nickola runs all four services under the Muintir Childcare umbrella, with over 20 years experience and believes that young children when exposed to an enriching environment children and positive meaningful interactions are empowered to becoming competent and capable learners.

I have a B.Sc in Early Childhood Educaton and Care from Marino.
A Little Bit About Me:
I began my time with Roots & Wings as a student in 2018 and haven't left since, One of the best things about the early years is getting to see children progress and learn new things. Everyday in the early years is a new learning experience and seeing these things happen infront of our eyes is amazing.

Level 8 in Early Childhood Education and Care from DCU, and Level 6 in Leadership and Inclusion (LINC)

A little bit about me:
I have always been passionate about working with children since a young age and view every child as confident, competent learners who actively seek to learn new skills and understand the world around them. I have a keen interest in environments, risky and outdoor play, and quality of care for children and aim to ensure the philosophy of Roots & Wings remains consistent across each of our services. Working with children is an incredibly rewarding job and they make every single day that little bit brighter.
